Well here it is, wait no longer. The most talked about "true audiophile" blues recordings ever. Mastered from the original 1964 Chess analog master tapes by Bernie Grundman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood on Classic's "All Tube" cutting system, this 200 gram Quiex Super Vinyl Profile pressing brings out elements of the intimate studio production as never before. Muddy's supporting cast includes Buddy Guy on guitar, with occasional visits by Chess veteran drummer Clifton James, Otis Spann's piano and Willie Dixon at the upright. This recording and the Classic pressing of same are revered as providing a "You are in the studio with the Hoochie Coochie Man himself" experience - not to be missed ! On a sad note, the original master tapes used by Classic Records and returned thereafter were damaged by a fire at Universal Music Group vaults 5 years ago and can never be used again making this definitive Classic Records reissue the last and best of this amazing session at Chess Studios in Chicago during the peak of Muddy's career. 45 RPM records have long been recognized as providing a higher fidelity musical experience resulting purely from the cartridge being able to extract more of the nuance from the complex vertical and horizontal groove modulations in stereo LP’s. Further, Classic Records 45 RPM “single sided” pressings dramatically reduce the mechanical resonances created by the cartridge during playback by allowing these resonances to be more fully transmitted to and absorbed by the turntable platter.
