Initially released in March 1990, Violator, Depeche Mode's seventh album showcased the band's maturity and ability to create dark, brooding atmospheres while achieving mainstream success. The album features some of Depeche Mode's most iconic tracks, including "Personal Jesus", "Enjoy the Silence", "Policy of Truth", and "World in My Eyes". "Enjoy the Silence" became a breakout hit, earning the band their first Top 10 single in the U.S. and winning a BRIT Award for Best Single.
