Recorded live at Berkeley, California's Keystone club on July 10 and 11, 1973, this deluxe, 180 gram vinyl collection beautifully captures the musical friendship of keyboardist Merl Saunders and the Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia. This new deluxe 180 gram 6 LP box set presents all 24 tracks spanning blues, Motown, Rockabilly and more from the legendary two night set in chronological order, andcomes with a booklet featuring never-before seen photos by Annie Leibovitz, plus liner notes by Grateful Dead expert David Gans. Also includes a collectible poster.

The sterling band on the sessions includes Merl Saunders on keyboards; Jerry Garcia, guitar and vocals; John Kahn, bass; and Bill Vitt, drums. Virtuoso David Grisman added mandolin to Bob Dylan's "Positively 4th Street." The stellar mix of material ranges from Saunders originals to covers of songs by Jimmy Cliff, Junior Parker, Holland-Dozier-Holland, Rodgers & Hart, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup, Lightnin' Hopkins, Don Nix and Dan Penn and Dylan.
