In anticipation of the HBO Original Documentary And So It Goes Sony Music is releasing the seven remaining studio albums on vinyl from Billy Joel on July 11. The vinyl titles are break outs from 2023's The Vinyl Collection, Volume II box set that included: Glass Houses, The Nylon Curtain, An Innocent Man, The Bridge, Storm Front, River of Dreams, as well as Fantasies & Delusions which features Billy's longtime friend pianist, Richard Hyung-ki Joo, performing compositions written by Billy himself. HBO's 2 part documentary is set to air on 7/18 & 7/25.
On the heels of the HBO documentary, Sony Music is also releasing Greatest Hits Volume I & II on vinyl. This 2 LP set is 40 years to the month from its original pressing. Greatest Hits Volume I & II is also the N° 7 biggest-selling record of all time and N° 2 for a solo artist behind Michael Jackson's Thriller.
Originally released in August 1985 and certified double diamond-selling (23 million copies), this 2 LP set includes Billy's biggest hits from 1973 - 1985, as well as two previously unreleased tracks at the time, "You're Only Human (Second Wind)" and "The Night Is Still Young".
